It was the 5th annual Long Night of Museums in Estonia yesterday. And it was also the first time for me and to my friends to "participate". Our initial plan was to visit Lennusadam (The Seaplane Harbour), KGB museum, Occupation Museum and Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design. But as expected, the KGB museum turned out to be so popular that we couldn't get in. We happened to walk by the Fat Margaret and since it was open too, we hopped in. The weather was amazing - it started with a very thick fog, followed by rain and then a beautiful sunset.
We arrived at the Seaplane Harbour quite early and when the first raindrops started falling, we were luckily the next ones in the queue to be let inside. The queue was crazy and I can't imagine how long people had to wait in the pouring rain. We spent approximately 2 hours in the museum and when we left, there were people waiting in the line still. But I guess that's no surprise since the place was very-very-very cool.
I took so many photos that my memory card was almost full (and of course I had forgotten to bring my spare memory card with me...).
Unfortunately I couldn't capture the inside of the Seaplane Harbour that well because the lights were pretty dim and my hands are not steady enough for required low shutter speeds (and for that reason I'm pretty rubbish at photographing museums).
