Maastikuallee (kas see just õige tõlge on, on küsitav) on tänav, kus asuvad mosaiigiga kaunistatud kujud (fantaasia)loomadest, inimestest jms.

Second part of our Kiev adventures. Last post ended with a photo which was taken on our way to landscape alley. We managed to get lost while searching for it, and ended up on a hill with a nice view towards the area we ended up going to. So if you're planning on going there as well, know that you don't have to climb a hill to get there, return to the street and look for a better way :)
Landscape alley is a street of various sculptures of (fantasy) animals covered in mosaic. The street itself is not that long but it leads to the St Andrew's church and from there to the street where many of the souvenir sellers are.
Mosaic was said to be an important symbol in Ukraine (or generally in the former Soviet Union), representing united people: one piece can't do much, but all together they create a whole.
Üks vähestest piltidest minust selle kaameraga. Ukraina reisi planeerides teadsin, et see on koht, kus pean ühe klõpsu endast saama!

One of the few photos of me with this camera. While planning the trip to Ukraine, I knew that this was the place where I had to get a shot of myself.

Access upstairs requires a ticket, but as far I saw, there was no entry to the church.
Selline on vaade paadisõidult // This is view on a boat ride
