It's still winter

Sunday, April 7, 2013

Ma ei tahaks tüüpiline vinguja olla, aga...miks jälle lund sajab? Täna on 7. aprill ja taevast tuleb paksu lund. Kes tellis? Monokroomne maailm viskab peale 5.-6. kuud paratamatult üle. Jubedalt kibelen ratta/rulluiskudega sõitma, kuid sellise ilma jätkudes pole enne jaanipäeva vist lootustki.
Talvetüdimuse leevendamiseks istun Google Streetviews ja "liiklen" suvistel Tallinna tänavatel.
Oeh...tahaks ometi juba rohelist muru näha.

Eile käisin Harku järve ääres, sest kaamera oli liiga kaua tolmu kogunud (imekombel 0°C ja päike - täitsa rannailm) ja täna postitan mõned pildid, mis paari viimase kuu jooksul tehtud on.

Today is the 7th of April and it's snowing. Who ordered it and why? I'm getting real tired of living in a monochrome world for 5-6 months in a row. I can't wait to go outside and ride my bicycle or go roller-skating...but with the weather being a *beep* it seems it's impossible to do anything until St John's Day (June 23/24).
To relieve my winter exhaustion, I sit in Google Streetview and "walk around" on the streets of Tallinn (it's summer there...).
I'm dying to finally see some green grass.

I went to Lake Harku yesterday, partly because my camera had been collecting dust for far too long and partly because the weather was nice, 0°C and the Sun was shining - I'd call it a beach weather. Here are some photos from yesterday and some that I've taken during the last few months (not a whole lot unfortunately).

Taken on the 24th of February (Estonian Independence Day). Chromatic aberration...grr
"Talleke ja pullike" - uus söögikoht Õismäel Nurmenuku peatuses. Nimi pani muigama :)

2011. aasta Laitse jaanituli. Kas tänavu jääb lumi püsima? Panused?

EDIT: Forgot to upload this one

I've uploaded a similar photo of Smena 8M here before, only this time I applied vaseline on the edges of the
magnifying glass.

At the zoo

Friday, June 29, 2012

It was fun today. I took a lot of photos and although most of them are "tourist" shots, I decided to post some.

Snakes...I like my pets to be warm and fluffy.

A raccoon. Poor thing was trying to get some goodies :)

A suricate (?) behind a glass (reflection!). I don't think he/she enjoys life there..

This tiger was walking back-and-forth. He/she was also quite unhappy-looking :/

My friend, Helena, and the famous Tallinn "ZOO" sign/letter
near the entrance.

This iguana had the cutest expressions. Unexpected, really.

Artsy and flowy fish.

And some music.
