I've had LR4 for a while but since most of my work is in LR3, I haven't really used it that often. I'll continue making LR3 presets and maybe also have a look at the new LR5.
Sorry, if these might not be the greatest presets, I'm still adjusting to some features LR4 has :)

Muuseumiöö 2013 // Long Night of the Museums 2013

Sunday, May 19, 2013

Eile, 18. mail, toimus 5. korda üle-Eestiline Muuseumiöö. Minu jaoks esimene kord sellest osa võtta.

It was the 5th annual Long Night of Museums in Estonia yesterday. And it was also the first time for me and to my friends to "participate". Our initial plan was to visit Lennusadam (The Seaplane Harbour), KGB museum, Occupation Museum and Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design. But as expected, the KGB museum turned out to be so popular that we couldn't get in. We happened to walk by the Fat Margaret and since it was open too, we hopped in. The weather was amazing - it started with a very thick fog, followed by rain and then a beautiful sunset.
We arrived at the Seaplane Harbour quite early and when the first raindrops started falling, we were luckily the next ones in the queue to be let inside. The queue was crazy and I can't imagine how long people had to wait in the pouring rain. We spent approximately 2 hours in the museum and when we left, there were people waiting in the line still. But I guess that's no surprise since the place was very-very-very cool.
I took so many photos that my memory card was almost full (and of course I had forgotten to bring my spare memory card with me...).
Unfortunately I couldn't capture the inside of the Seaplane Harbour that well because the lights were pretty dim and my hands are not steady enough for required low shutter speeds (and for that reason I'm pretty rubbish at photographing museums).

Tarbekunsti - ja disainimuuseum pakkus põnevaid leide...

Aiandushooaeg = Laitse. Meie aed on hetkel suhtelist lillevaba, kuid see-eest on metsaalune paksult sinililli täis.

Gardening season = Laitse. And this is why I've spent the last 2 weekends there. Right now there's so much hard work to do, I haven't really had time to do anything else. Fortunately I managed to get some snaps in the forest where Hepatica is currently in full bloom. To be quite honest, I've never been able to get a good shot of those flowers. But then again, flowers in general are tricky to photograph (well, to me at least). Anyway, I'd say this year's results are beginning to look okay (compared to previous photos). I usually don't dedicate whole posts to just one flower (and I don't plan on doing so in the future), but...exceptions are fine once in a while.

2 weeks ago. I found this disorderly look slightly interesting.
